1965 Pearson Alberg 35

Cataumet, Massachusetts

$22,000

Reportedly 280 Alberg 35's were built between 1961 and 1967. They have capably served as family cruisers, weekend racers, and offshore voyagers and have sailed all over the world.

HELIOS is hull #185. She has had excellent care for much of her life.  For many years, under prior ownership, she was THE boat to beat in the annual FIGAWI Race.  Ask anyone who has ever participated in a FIGAWI race, and chances are high he/she has been beaten by HELIOS and remembers it. HELIOS' current owners purchased her in 2018 and have used her only for daysailing. They have not kept up with exterior cosmetics.  The exterior teak needs to be completely refinished, and the deck needs to be sanded and painted.  The current owner discarded the foam for the interior cushions and kept the fabric covers. Sails have been updated,  The engine was replaced in 2000, the mast and step were new in 2001.  The interior has a number of nice custom touches, and the boat has an upgraded electrical system.

HELIOS is currently on her mooring in Red Brook Harbor, Cataumet, MA on Cape Cod and may be easily seen.
